While each of the four two-bedroom units is unique, each one radiates beauty, style and comfort. You can expect nothing less from this magnificent suite, which is located in a quadraplex adjacent to a quaint courtyard, where towering, 100 year-old trees watch over the large sun decks, the small, tropical garden teeming with exotic plants, and the perennial pounding of the waves against the sparkling white sand. Your stay will be blissful, both indoors and out.
The actual house was constructed in 1920, and while some renovations were necessary, workers tried to maintain its nostalgic appeal. A perfect marriage of antiquity and modernity, the suite has everything that guests will need. The kitchen is state of the art, with granite countertops, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, pots, pans and other assorted cookware. At the nearby grocery store you can buy any other supplies that you want for a perfect, home-cooked meal. Maybe you would prefer to grill some fresh fish or juicy steaks on the barbecue. A third option is dining in one of the many restaurants and bars in Times Square. I can recommend a few places.
My guests will always have plenty of fresh linens and towels. And when it’s time to depart, don’t worry about housecleaning, the dishes, or anything like that. I charge a small additional fee for my cleaning crew to tidy up.
Lovers Key State Park is easily accessible by car or trolley, and its 712 acres contain some of the most beautiful sights in the world. Bird watching is a popular pastime for park visitors, who can catch a glimpse of the bald eagles, herring birds, pelicans and other avian creatures. Go kayaking or canoeing while curious bottle-nosed dolphins swim alongside you in shallow waters. Mingle with manatees, the huge, peaceful marine mammals who were likely the origins of mermaid myths. Fishing and shelling are also popular activities. Walk, run, hike or swim. Guided tours of the park are available, as well.
“And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree; And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.”
– Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Kubla Khan
You will find yourself amazed at all of the things that you can do in this tropical paradise, or you can just lounge in the sun and sea and basically do nothing. After all, this is your vacation.
