To make this world better, one good deed at a time.
To make this world smile, one person at a time. Nothing is more rewarding to me than to see someone smile, and the spirit in his eyes.
The World is Beautiful.
I believe in Blue.
I love the sight of blue, especially shades of turquoise like teal and aquamarine. I am drawn to this color because it is the color of the ocean and the sky. Even more so, the color of life. When I gaze upon the azure sea, I feel calm and strong, free like the rushing waves. Because of its calming effect on the mind and body, blue is often the preferred color for bedrooms. I wanted my guests to benefit from the positive effects of my favorite color by having all of the rooms painted blue.
Blue is unique for its combination of calmness, strength and spirit. Even stormy skies and raging waters suggest blue’s bestowal of energy and inspiration.
Finally, blue symbolizes loyalty and integrity, trust and peace.
I am a philanthropist.
There is nothing so rewarding as making a difference in someone’s life, in someone’s world. No stranger to hardship, I have learned how little we really need to be happy. True happiness comes not from material possessions, rather from our state of mind, our connection to other human beings. Why, for example, does one person need five bathrooms at home? When ill fortune inevitably strikes, you may find yourselves with no bathroom and a tiny, squalid place to call home. At first this seems devastating, but all you need are a chair in which to sit and a table at which to eat. Beauty comes from appreciating what you have. My favorite breakfast is a cup of hot tea and toast with jam. The beauty is in the simplicity. This is what makes me happy.
Yet too often, greed and materialistic concerns trump loyalty and closeness to other people. This erodes human relationships, puts loyalty and friendship last, if at all. What really matters in life?
To quote former vice president Hubert H. Humphrey, “It is not what they take away from you that counts. It is what you do with what you have left.”
No one can take your smile or your spirit. If you have those, you have all that you need.
Often, I come across those in dire straits. Everyone deserves a fresh start. I try to bring positive energy into people’s lives. Making someone smile is a good start. Even the homeless have something to share: the gift of love and caring. Occasionally you will see a homeless person with a dog, for example. Those whom society has labeled “outcasts” especially need our concern. Not infrequently will one homeless person share food with another homeless person, whereas a rich snob with a thick wallet and full belly will not condescend to offer anything. My goal is to make a difference by helping one person at a time. To me, the greatest reward is the look of joy and gratitude in a person’s eyes. The world has too many sad eyes.
I believe in karma.
I was born under a lucky star. Believe and good things will come to you.
When I interact with my guests, I get a good sense of what they want, and of what sort of vacation will best suit them. I want to see joyful smiles and shining eyes.
Among my guests are seasoned travelers, students, and also those who have never before left their home towns. Regardless of your background, I want to help you have the best vacation possible. Think of me as your travel agent, your concierge, your friend. A lot of my guests return, and we share a cup of coffee or tea: we become friends. I even remain in touch with some of them after their departure.
All year, you work hard for your money. You deserve a vacation. My mission is to better your life.
Very truly yours,
Ella
