Florida Seasonal Rental

. . . The three-bedroom, one and a half-bathroom Ocean Level Beach Suite occupies the entire first floor (hence, “Ocean Level”) of Pink Shell House, on Estero Island.

. . . Are you looking for Florida seasonal rental? Welcome to Ella’s Vacation Rentals in Fort Myers Beach! You can see the ocean from the moment you arrive. Park your car, put on your sunglasses, kick off your shoes and walk 50 steps. Then sink your toes into the soft white sand stretching before the azure sea. Take a deep breath. Enjoy yourself.

The backyard has plenty of tables and ample seating, as well as a BBQ. Inhale the balmy breeze as you gaze at the stars, and you unwind in a comfortable chair. Personally, I love to dine on fresh fish outside. Maybe you do, too.

Three private bedrooms, a dining area, a living room, a kitchen, one full and one half bathroom comprise the layout of the Ocean Level Beach Suite. The fully-equipped kitchen will serve your needs well if you fancy a home-cooked meal rather than a trip to one of the many local restaurants.

A king-sized bed rules the master bedroom, which includes a new foam mattress, a dresser, a mirror, bedside tables in all white décor, and a flat screen TV. After a long day of beach play, boating or fishing, unwind and watch Netflix from the comfort of your bed.

The large private bedroom features a queen-sized bed, in addition to a dresser, mirror and flat screen TV. There is also an attached bathroom with a toilet and a sink. If you need to do laundry, you are free to use the washer and dryer, as well as the detergent and softener, which are provided. You have your own private entrance to the back yard.

The small bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and a dresser and mirror. The new foam mattresses are so comfortable, you may not want to get up in the morning.

The alarm/iPod dock in every bedroom allows you to wake up to the music of your choice. There are plenty of freshly-folded bath and beach towels.

The glass table in the dining room fits four people, and there is also a 100% leather sofa that folds out to a full-sized bed. Fresh linens are provided. In the living room is a large glass coffee table.

I keep all my units well-stocked. Here you will find: clean linens, bath and beach towels, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, aloe vera lotion, body wash, dishwashing liquid, coffee, a variety of teas, salt, pepper, sugar, Splenda, creamer and hot cocoa. If previous guests leave some items in the pantry, I leave them for the next tenants, provided they are unopened or sealed.

The neighborhood:

There is a house called Pink Shell, which has three suites: Ocean Level Beach Suite (three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms), Coral Reef Beach Suite (two bedrooms, one bathroom), and Blue Ray Beach Escape Suite (two bedrooms, one bathroom). If you have a large party traveling together or a sizeable group of friends, consider renting an additional suite. How about Spring Break or Thanksgiving? Please ask me to give you a little discount for renting an extra suite.

The gentle, rhythmic surf, the tranquil breeze and the azure waves beckon you. A mere 50 paces from where you park your car you will find the beach. Located on the island’s largest sand surface, the house is sufficiently isolated from the noise and the traffic of major roads. Slip into your flip flops and stroll across the powdery, white sand. Let the foamy surf wash over your toes. Frolic in the waves. Watch the dolphins, sting rays, and manatees. Build a sand castle. If you’d rather lounge and soak up the sunshine, bring the beach chairs that we provide for you. You’re in paradise. You’re in Florida!

For supper you have a couple of options, one of which is to dine at home. You will find the kitchen well-equipped with everything that you need to prepare a great meal. Toss some fresh fish onto the grill (both gas and charcoal are available), or if you prefer, a number of good restaurants are within walking distance. One of my favorite places is Charley Boat House and Grill. They have a talented chef, large portions at fair prices, and the salad bar is included with every main dish. You can sit by a window and watch the fish swimming past. I also suggest Crab Pinchers, a bar that’s tame enough for family dining.

Other establishments, including the grocery store, would be easier accessed with a car. I’m European and usually choose to walk, but for my guests, especially those returning from food shopping, I would suggest driving.

While an automobile is more convenient, public transportation is a reasonably-priced alternative. The trolley is nearby and makes frequent stops. Climb on board and head to Time Square, where the bars are hopping and the nightlife is vibrant. Two top spots on my list are Yucatan and Doc’s Ford. Both serve delicious fresh fish, caught and cooked locally. The opposite direction will take you towards the Lower Keys, where you can hike, or take a kayak excursion for about $35.

When I’m in Fort Myers Beach, I like to patronize the Takeaway Bagel and Waffle Coffee Shop. Their bagels are always fresh, and their strong, fine cappuccino is up to European standards. Heavenly Biscuit.  There you can have a cup of coffee (not cappuccino), and sample a savory pastry, chanson roll or walnut roll. A tasty breakfast at Heavenly Biscuits will run you about $5.00, give or take. (N.B. Heavenly Biscuits only accepts cash). For dessert or a scrumptious snack, try the Royal Scoop Homemade Ice Cream Shop. Sufficient to satisfy any sweet tooth, including mine, Royal Scoop is perfect for both family outings or romantic dates. The place is open till very late to accommodate evening snacking.

For dinner I would suggest the aforementioned Charley Boat House and Grill, which is easily reached on foot from Pink Shell Home.

. . . Inside of the Beach Suite you will find lots of useful information on both the various activities, as well as the frequent updates on my web site. Enjoy your vacation. You deserve it.
