Thanksgiving Gratitude

Thanksgiving Gratitude that is what it is all about.  It is 6 AM now and I would like to give my Thank you for every one around me, my family, my friends, my relatives, my pets, my enemies and the universe.  Thank you for being the park of my life.

The true and deep meaning is often not as emphasized during the hectic holiday times. After standing inside of the hot kitchen, going to the grocery store ones or twice, because something is always forgotten to be picked up, coordinating the family, the traffic, the baking . . . not much you can think about.  You are happy to be at the same table with your family and loved ones.  Happy Thanksgiving!

I am about to stop writing and go cook my own Thanksgiving diner in the kitchen shortly . . .

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Yes, the indians were killed, no one ever forgets that and may they rest in peace, yet the beautiful Holiday found its beginning on the land of America.  Many other other cultures celebrate the same meaning/holiday, but with different names and on different days.  The Hebrew Scriptures are filled with the idea of gratitude.  It Christianity, it is all about selfless giving.  Christian gratitude is regarded as a virtue that shapes not only emotions and thoughts but also actions and deeds.

Nothing can feel better then selfless giving.  Somewhere on this site, I have my mission statement, where I talk in brief about Philanthropy.   The word itself was originated in Greece 5th century BC.  It means “love of humanity” in the sense of caring, nourishing, developing and enhancing “what it is to be human” on both the benefactors’ (by identifying and exercising their values in giving and volunteering.

Thanksgiving is an old holiday, yet still in our days, we celebrate its special meaning.

Thank you again for reading thins and for being the part of my life.

Respectfully,

Ella
